In the domestic market, according to a recent report of the General Department of Customs, our country’s cotton imports in the first 15 days of October reached more than 58,000 tons, worth 170.3 million USD. Compared to the same period last year, the import volume decreased by nearly 15%, but the import value still increased by about 30%.
Accumulated from the beginning of the year to the end of October 15, total imports reached 1.1 million tons of cotton, equivalent to $ 3.1 billion; 15% lower in volume and 24% in turnover compared to the same period last year. The cooling of input material prices is a positive signal for import factories in particular and our country’s textile industry in general.
